Established in 1945, the Medical University of Gdansk is the largest medical university in northern Poland. The two clinical hospitals viz. the University Clinical Centre – the MUG Hospital and the Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine offer medical treatments unavailable anywhere else in Northern Poland.
